About The Heart Center
Yoga, Wellness, & Reiki
in Chagrin Falls / Bainbridge Township, Ohio
The Heart Center is a sanctuary for connection, healing, and whole-person well-being: body, mind, and spirit.
Rooted in an integrative approach, we offer yoga, wellness services, Reiki, and community experiences designed to support you in living with greater balance, resilience, and vitality. We believe true health goes beyond treating symptoms - it’s about creating a life that feels grounded, connected, and sustainable.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple idea:
When we learn to care for ourselves well,
we show up more fully for our lives and for one another.
This is the root of "be the change” and it changes the world.
So if you’re seeking movement, stillness, support, or community, The Heart Center is here to meet you where you are and to offer tools to help you feel better, live better, and stay connected to what matters most.
Meet our Founder, Polly Manke
The Heart Center grew out of Polly Manke’s lifelong commitment to practices that support health, resilience, and meaningful living.
For more than two decades, Polly has studied, practiced, and taught yoga, meditation, Reiki, and holistic wellness. These weren’t just professional pursuits, they were also the tools that carried her through the realities of life: raising a family, navigating stress, caring for loved ones, and moving through seasons of change.
Her approach is grounded in the belief that each person has the capacity to heal, grow, and return to balance with the right support and practices in place.
As a yoga therapist, holistic health coach, and Reiki Master/Teacher Polly draws from a wide range of modalities, including movement, breathwork, meditation, Reiki, stress regulation, and lifestyle support. She meets people where they are, offering practical tools and compassionate guidance to help them reconnect with their own vitality.
The Heart Center is the natural extension of this work. Her team continues to expand with additional heart-centered yoga, wellness & Reiki professionals…all of whom are authentic to Polly’s own journey. “I only recommend a service or provider I have personally experienced and benefited from.”
Together, the community we’ve created is not just about classes and services, but a safe place to cultivate connection, community, and change … for living from the heart and creating a more heart-centered world.
A Story of Healing
Polly has had the honor of supporting clients through all stages of life, including those facing profound medical challenges.
One such client, Margaret, was a vibrant 13-year-old who had been attending yoga classes with her mother when she was diagnosed with lymphoma in March, 2020. After beginning chemotherapy, she experienced a severe reaction that resulted in an anoxic brain injury.
Margaret spent months in a minimally conscious state and was eventually placed in hospice care. And yet, in the quiet, supportive environment of hospice, something began to shift: her brain started to wake up. By the spring of 2021, she had improved enough to be discharged and return home.
When Margaret came home, she required full support —unable to speak, walk, sit up, or care for herself. It was at this point that Polly begin providing one-to-one yoga therapy with Margaret, integrating Reiki, gentle movement, breathwork, and neuro-developmental practices alongside the care of her medical team and the unwavering support of her family and community.
Over time, Margaret began to regain strength, awareness, and connection.
Today, she speaks clearly, has returned to school, and continues to make meaningful progress. With determination and support, she now climbs the stairs to Polly’s studio for her sessions…one step at a time.
Her journey, and the role of integrative, compassionate care in her healing, was later featured in National Geographic (June 2022).
